Humphrys Flag Company, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is one of the nation's largest and oldest manufacturers of custom flags and banners.
Starting as a sail manufacturer in New York City in 1805, Humphrys moved to Philadelphia in 1865 and opened the Humphrys Flag Company. Today, Humphrys is an expanding, innovative corporation with 35 employees and utilizing 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space. In addition to the traditional applique and screen printing (ink & acid dye) methods, Humphrys is also a pioneer in the area of 4 color process digital printing
Humphrys manufacturers one or thousands of banners in any size and on a wide variety of fabrics. The end users of our products range from the NFL, hospitals, universities, towns & cities, police departments and exhibit houses to such "unlikely" customers as the Polar Ice Coring Office and the Police Department of Lagos, Nigeria. Humphrys flags are flown on every continent. Our custom banners can be seen in hundreds of cities across America decorating parks, city centers and cultural institutions.
In 1992, Humphrys made the world's largest flag. The 255 foot by 505 foot US flag used 5.5 miles of fabric, 6000 miles of thread, weighs over 3,000 pounds and was unfurled during the Great American Picnic on Flag Day.
