Tips for Designing Custom Flags and Banners Ask the Right Questions!!
How will the flag or banner be used? Indoors or outdoors? This will help to determine the type of material. Will it be for a trade show? Consider something that will not wrinkle and can be easily laundered.
Determine the distance from which it will be viewed. This is important in determining the layout as well as the size and design of both lettering and graphic elements.
Provide information about finishing. Heading and grommets are standard for flags being flown on an outdoor flagpole. Indoor banners might require a pole pocket or sleeve.
Will it be viewed from one side only? Does any lettering need to be read correctly on both sides or will single reverse** suffice?
How many do you need? If your custom flag is flown daily it will eventually wear out. Often there are savings in ordering multiple quantities.
What kind of artwork are you able to provide? Vector formatted or high quality tiff art on disc or via e mail is preferred but we can work with other types of art including slicks or laser printouts or we can create art for you.***
**Single reverse is standard flag finishing. The background is a single thickness of material. Letters and/or graphics appear on both sides but read correctly on only the front side while the back will be a reverse (mirror) image.
***Art charges may apply.
